The Beacon is designed to keep sponsorship matching clear, local, and easier to manage without adding unnecessary complexity.
For leaders
The Beacon provides a central dashboard to ensure your ministry's sponsorship matching process is professional and low-friction.
Seed & Review
Quickly seed demo data to understand the flow, or review real sponsee profiles as they arrive.
Active Oversight
Monitor sponsor capacity, pause matching for those at their limit, and close resolved requests.
For sponsees
Finding the right support should be simple. Follow these steps to get started:
- Complete the sponsee intake honestly to ensure the algorithm finds your best relational fit.
- Review the top three matches provided by the system.
- Send a connection request to your preferred sponsor.
Note: If no match feels right, you can always ask leadership for a manual introduction.
For sponsors
Your capacity matters. Complete the sponsor intake with accuracy regarding your "lane," communication style, and current availability.
Capacity Check
If you need a break, use the dashboard to pause matching instead of letting requests stack up.
Manual override
Technology supports the process, but relational context matters more than a raw score. The leadership dashboard includes a manual match tool to create requests when pastoral discernment requires a specific pairing.
Need human follow-up?
The system is designed to be self-sufficient, but personal follow-up is encouraged. Leaders should use the admin note field to track phone calls, pastoral transitions, or specific reasons a match was adjusted.
