Sign in to your Beacon account
Use your email and password, complete verification when asked, and handle a missing code.
For everyone
These steps use the Beacon website unless the iPhone app is mentioned.
In this guide
Start with your account email
Open Sign in, enter your email address and password, and choose Continue. Use the email from your Beacon account, which may differ from an address you receive notifications at.
If you arrived from an invitation, training, or volunteer link, follow the sign-in link on that page. It can return you to the activity after sign-in. You may still need to accept the invitation or submit your request once you get back.
If you have only submitted a sponsor or sponsee intake form, choose Claim your account to connect that submission and finish account setup.
Complete the verification shown on screen
Depending on your account’s security settings, Beacon may ask for a six-digit verification code. Enter the code sent to your verified contact method and choose Verify and sign in.
If your account still needs a verified phone, Beacon will ask for a mobile phone number and send a code. Enter it and choose Verify phone and sign in. This completes a security step on your account.
In Settings → Account and security, Text message login controls whether signing in with your password also requires a text code. Turning off that extra login step keeps your verified account phone saved.
If a code does not arrive or is rejected
Use Back to sign in, enter your email and password again, and request a fresh code. Enter all six digits in the verification field.
If you no longer have access to the verified contact method, contact your administrator or Beacon support. Receiving optional notification texts is separate from receiving a requested login security code, so changing notification preferences is not a way to fix a login problem.
If you have forgotten your password
Choose Forgot your password? on the sign-in page. Recovery asks you to verify your account and choose a new password; an administrator then approves restoring access. Read Reset a forgotten password before starting so you know what to expect.
