Use of the tool
Use the system only for sponsorship matching and follow-up. Do not use it to store unrelated personal information or private notes that should not live in an admin dashboard.
- error_outline Intent: The Beacon is a tool for ministry coordination, not general-purpose social networking.
- error_outline Accuracy: Participants are expected to provide honest, current information regarding their recovery journey.
Matching results
Compatibility scores are guidance, not guarantees. Leadership judgment always matters more than a score, and admins can override recommendations when context requires it.
Guidance Clause
"A recommendation is an invitation to conversation, not a final assignment of support."Sponsor availability
Sponsors are responsible for setting honest capacity limits. Admins are responsible for monitoring pauses, accepted requests, and ensuring that no sponsor is over-burdened by the matching process.
Ministry responsibility
Each church or CR team remains responsible for:
Same-sex matching
Safe handoffs
Escalation path
Pilot status
This version of The Beacon is intentionally lean and in an active pilot phase. Features, workflows, and data retention practices may change as the ministry validates the process.
