Suggest a feature or report a bug

Share an idea, add your vote, and keep track of what you’ve submitted.

For everyone

These steps use the Beacon website unless the iPhone app is mentioned.

Choose the right board

Open Feedback on the website. You can browse accepted posts without signing in. Sign in when you want to submit something or add your vote.

Use the feature board for something you'd like Beacon to do. Use the bug board when something that should work isn't working. In the iPhone app, open your account and find the Support section, then choose Request a feature or Report a bug.

If you need help with your own account or someone's private information, use Contact support instead. Accepted feedback posts can be read by other people.

Describe one thing at a time

For an idea, tell us what you're trying to get done and where Beacon gets in the way. “Let me see next month's serving dates together” tells us more than “Improve the calendar.” If a similar idea is already on the board, add your vote.

For a bug, give it a short title and describe the steps that lead to the problem. Include what you expected, what actually happened, and whether you were on the website or iPhone app. Leave out passwords, sign-in codes, intake answers, and private details about other people.

On the website, choose Submit for review when you're ready.

Find your post after you submit it

New submissions wait for review before they appear on the public board. On the website, open My requests. In the iPhone app, look under My feedback. Your own list includes submissions that are still awaiting review or weren't accepted.

You can edit or delete a submission while those controls are available. Once it's accepted, the original post is preserved for the people following it, and you can't edit it.

If submitting seemed to fail, check your list before trying again. Your post may already be there.

Check the status

Accepted posts can be under consideration, planned, in progress, or shipped. You can filter the board by status to see what's changed.

A vote tells us an idea matters to you; it isn't a promise about when we'll build it. If you need help with a problem while a report is being reviewed, start a support conversation.
